  1. 2 tbsp cornflour
  2. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
  3. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  4. ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  5. 1 tbsp soy sauce
  6. 3 tbsp water
  7. 250 gms paneer cubes/ cottage cheese
  8. Oil (for frying)


  1. 1 tbsp tomato sauce/ ketchup
  2. 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  3. 1 tbsp Schezwan sauce
  4. 1 tbsp soy sauce


  1. 2 tbsp oil
  2. ½ tbsp chopped garlic
  3. ½ tbsp chopped ginger
  4. Chopped 1 small onion (petals)
  5. Chopped one green capsicum
  6. One slit green chilli
  7. ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  8. ¼ tsp salt
  9. 1 tbsp Water
  10. 3 tbsp cornflour slurry
  11. ½ tsp vinegar
  12. 3 tbsp spring onion


  1. Take a bowl and add cornflour, all-purpose flour, ginger-garlic paste and black pepper powder, soy sauce and add water.
  2. Whisk it together with all ingredients to smooth paste.
  3. Add paneer in that batter and coat the pieces in the batter.
  4. Marinate the paneer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. After 15 minutes, start frying marinated paneer in the hot oil.
  6. Fry the paneer cube evenly on all
  7. After frying, take it out on a plate and keep it aside.
  8. Take a bowl, add 1 tbsp cornflour add water to it, mix it and keep aside.
  9. Heat a pan and add chopped garlic and chopped ginger mix until the raw smell of ginger-garlic goes away.
  10. Add chopped onion, chopped green capsicum, slit green chilli, and mix well.
  11. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and mix well.
  12. Add tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce,  Schezwan sauce, soy sauce and mix well.
  13. Add 1 tbsp water and add a little bit of salt and mix well.
  14. Add cornflour slurry to the mixture and add vinegar and mix well.
  15. Add fried paneer cubes to the pan and mix gradually.
  16. Mix fried paneer cubes coat them with the gravy.
  17. Add some spring onions and mix gradually.
  18. Take it out in to plate paneer crispy is ready to serve


  • For paneer crispy, make sure to prepare slightly more cornflour slurry.
  • Make sure to use soft and fresh paneer.
  • You can also add Kashmiri red chilli powder to your preference.
  • Finally, paneer crispy tastes excellent when served hot and a little spicy.
  • Avoid over frying paneer, especially on a low flame, as it tends to turn chewy.
  • Paneer can be fried, grilled or shallow fried.
